The Phoenix Bungalow seeks to blend nature and interior spaces together using elements of playfulness and bold use of materials. Full-height windows lined up on one side of the house, offering unobstructed panoramic views to the outdoor landscape at open living and bar areas. Natural sunlight also penetrates into the building, subtly blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor.

Bold textures, colours and design elements throughout the house suggest the embodiment of liveliness of nature, including the divider between living and bar areas, which carries forward the play of sunlight and shadow subtly into the night. Groove lines and recessed spaces for cove lightings on the ceiling represent a conceptualized foliage above the living spaces. All these elements come together to accentuate the concept of harmonic interactions between interior and nature.
